Western Canada: Northwest Territories

Western Canada: Northwest Territories

Length 13 mins. Recorded: 25/3/2021

The Northwest Territories is a land that has never been tamed. Where lakes are ocean-sized and the Aurora dances an average of 200 nights per year.
Why are the Northern Lights so frequent in the NWT? Because Canada’s subarctic is blessed with crystal-clear nights, ultra-low humidity, and a perfect location directly beneath the Earth’s band of maximal Auroral activity, the “Auroral oval.”
Let local NWT Tourism representative, Lizzie Doyle, take you on a journey through the spectacular NWT.

This recording was part of a live BYO Coffee Cluster on Western Canada.
